He graduated with a PhD Computational Chemistry from the University of Cape Town (2016). Raban worked as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cape Town. Currently, Raban is working on designing new antitubercular and anticancer inhibitors using machine learning and predictive modelling. He is the Chief Technology officer at 13th Look (Pvt) Ltd, a technology consultancy based in Highlands, Harare, Zimbabwe. The entity focuses on artificial intelligence, big data in healthcare and business, drug discovery projects, data driven decision making consultancy as well as business development. In line with his passion for teaching, he is currently an adjunct lecturer in Health Informatics at Africa University in their Master of Public Health program, and also lectures and supersives MSc and PhD students in pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry at the University of Zimbabwe.
